ANNOUNCEMENT
The 1st International Conference on Optimization and Variational Analysis
October 17-20
To facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge research in Optimization and Variational Analysis, to explore international trends and key topics in these fields, and to promote academic discussions on theoretical, methodological, and applied advancements across their interdisciplinary branches—while fostering friendships among scholars worldwide and advancing substantive international collaboration and talent development—the School of Mathematical Sciences, Chongqing Normal University, in collaboration with the Chongqing National Center for Applied Mathematics, Chongqing Operations Research Society and Decision Sciences Branch of the Chinese Operations Research Society, will host the International Conference on Optimization and Variational Analysis—dedicated to the 65th Birthday of Professor Refail Kasimbeyli.
The conference will take place from October 17 to 20, 2025, at Chongqing Normal University, China. Distinguished experts from around the world will be invited to deliver plenary lectures on the latest theoretical and interdisciplinary developments in Optimization and Variational Analysis, alongside invited talks by leading scholars.

General Information
The Workshop will take place in School of Mathematical Sciences, Chongqing Normal University. The city is located in central part of Chongqing.
Registration
Registration Fee: RMB 1200 per person. The fee should be paid on-site during conference check-in.
Travel and Accommodation:
Participants are responsible for their own round-trip travel expenses and accommodation costs during the conference. The hotel offers two types of rooms: Deluxe Twin Room and Deluxe Single Room, both at a negotiated rate of RMB 400 per room per night. Due to limited room availability during the conference period, please be sure to indicate your preferred room type in the registration form. If you wish to share a room, please choose the twin room. You may either arrange a roommate in advance or allow the hotel to assign another participant to share the room based on availability.
Proceedings
A special issue will be published in the journal Optimization with the guest editors Elisabeth Köbis, Jianwen Peng, Christiane Tammer and Kequan Zhao. Participants are welcome to submit their manuscripts to this special issue. The deadline of submission is June 30, 2026.
